I explained to my mother last night that even if I contract the swine flu, my chances of dying are no greater than those if I had contracted the "regular" flu... It just appears to be a horrible epidemic because it's a new type of flu that people have not built up their immunities to (yet) and the fact it's being focused upon. Now I'm not saying it should not be focused upon, because a thing like this could take a downward spell reallllll quick "like" but my point is that peeps must educate themselves (FROM PROPER SITES and resources) and stay healthy and don't hang out with sick and diseased people and you'll be good to go! Here are a few links:

Now my best friend has been in Mexico for the past week and I hope that she and I can hang out when she gets back, but I'll have to check her symptoms before I decide ;)
